If you feel like you need help with your oral health, we’re here for you.

Our treatment options include dental implants. If you need to replace teeth, dental implants are fast becoming the most popular way to do so – for good reason! Dental implants are:

  • Natural-looking
  • Function just like a normal tooth
  • Can last a lifetime
  • Don’t require any special care

If you have a tooth that has gone missing, there are a few options for you: a bridge, dentures or dental implants. The dental implant is the only one of its kind. It doesn’t require that you damage the teeth that neighbour the gap or use them for support. If you’re interested in replacing a tooth, we’ll go over each of these services with you. We’ll detail the pros, cons and costs so that you can decide how you would like to proceed.

There is a two-stage process involved in the procedure for a dental implant. You’ll allow about three months in total to complete each stage. At your first appointment, you will have a titanium screw placed in the bone of your jaw. This screw is the dental implant itself. While waiting for it to heal, we can give you a temporary implant to wear on the screw, filling in the space. This may not be necessary if it’s a back tooth that you’re having replaced.

After the jawbone has begun to grow around the implant and the site has healed, you’re ready for the final stage of getting an implant. We’ll take an impression of the area, then send it to our laboratory to have your crown, bridge or denture completed. After it has been fabricated, you can return to have your permanent restoration affixed to your implant.

Am I a candidate for a dental implant?

Many people want to know if their case is suitable for having a dental implant. You must have ample space in the jawbone, which can have worn down over time. We’ll check to make sure that you have good oral hygiene, too. Other than these factors, most people tend to be candidates for dental implants.
Is there pain involved?

You will be under anaesthesia while your implant procedure is performed. We want to be sure that we prioritise your comfort and do everything possible to relieve your anxiety.
What other options do I have to replace missing teeth?

A dental implant is not the only tooth replacement we have available. If you’re missing teeth, we can talk about whether you’d prefer a dental implant, a dental bridge or a denture. Each can be a great option depending on your particular situation. We’ll go over all the choices you have at your consultation so that you can decide what you would like to do.
How do I take care of a dental implant?

You can treat your dental implant just like a normal tooth. Brush it, floss around it and be sure to attend your bi-yearly checkups with us. In doing so, your dental implant may last for a lifetime.
